Our History

Established in 2007, Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. and its affiliates (Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., Hillcrest, and Friends of Mental Health) are the largest providers of community-based mental healthcare in Southwestern Indiana. With approximately 60 employees, Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. professionals coordinate administrative services across the corporate structure to ensure efficiency, accuracy and consistency. These administrative services include coordination and unification of systems in the areas of finance, human resources, corporate compliance, information technology, health information management, patient financial services, communications and facilities.

Our unique corporate structure allows our organizations to build upon their strengths and work towards improving mental health and addiction treatment provided in our community. Our leadership collaborates with the supported organizations to position each company to grow well into the future and to be innovative and nimble when faced with challenges and changes in the mental health and addiction industry.
